Eye Health Check

In an Eye Examination we will determine your current spectacle prescription and investigate in more detail your risk of Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration and Cataractas well as providing advice on the treatment and management of any other eye symptoms you may have that are not related to your sight.

An Eye Examination enables our specialist optometrists to offer advice on management of problems such as red eyes, dry eyes, watery eyes, eye ache or itchy eyes or any other problem not related to your sight without the need to refer you to your GP.

We recommend all patients to have an Eye Examination but particularly if you:

  • Are a new patient
  • Have a family history of glaucoma
  • Are diabetic
  • Have cataract or macular degeneration or glaucoma
  • or have any eye problems not related to your sight for example red eyes, dry eyes, watery eyes, eye ache or itchy eyes

Patients entitled to a NHS Sight Test are able to claim a 50% reduction in the cost of their Eye Examination.
